Types of ash catcher connections

The main two types of ash catchers are long stem slider ash catchers or glass on glass stub ash catchers and both have different sizes. This may all seem confusing at first but really all you need to do is measure the size of downspout opening your bong has and inform the head shop so they can direct you to the right type. Another thing to consider when getting a ash catcher for a bong is how tall is your bong and how big is the base. Why does this matter? There is something else to consider about bong ash catchers and that is whether you want a pull out ash catcher or a choke ash catcher. What is the difference? The pull out ash catchers are a glass bowl in themselves and the leave in standard ash catcher allowing you to put your own bowl through the top. Using your own bowl is considered better since you can use a few glass bowls in one session as compared to the pull out ash catcher would require you to multiple ash catchers.
