America could legalize drugs in 2012 with Ron Paul at the helm

The United States is facing another election, will we be lied to again, will the world be lied to? Before President Obama was voted in, he promised millions of American's that he was for the legalization of marijuana and to stop the drug war, but it never happened. Each time he was asked about legalization The White House would either change topic or just laugh it off. Obama used to boast on how when he was younger he used to smoke pot all the time that's why he was in for decriminalization, this is also why a lot of youth went out and voted for him, we were all hoping for a change, but sadly we were lied to and change never came. Each year over 800,000 people, who are mostly young, are sent to prison for possession of marijuana, that's billions of dollars of America's tax payers money spent to hold people who really shouldn't be arrested in the first place, so ask yourself who your going to vote for in 2012.

Ron Paul ,a presidential candidate, just might be our hope for change. Recently Ron has introduced  legalization bills and if that was not enough he is now the front runner in most polls to win the GOP nomination. 2012 just might be our year for change, if Ron Paul gets voted in we will be able to use marijuana as we please without the risk of going to jail. But like millions of people are asking is he for real or will he lie to us like Barack Obama did? But luckily Ron Paul is the only candidate to never flip flop and holds true to his word seemingly through out is whole career.

Marijuana more potent then ever

Believe it or not marijuana potency has increased since the 60's and for many of us thats a good thing, who wouldnt want weed that would get you higher then anything else. Growers these days are using a lot of different methods and chemicals to get the highest quality plants with as much potency as possible. In 1970 researchers conducted a test to see how much potency marijuana had. The highest percentage was marked at 3%, today with the new chemicals and other techniques growers have got their percentages up to an astounding 32%, with every passing year the percentage gets a little bit higher and higher.

Many people think that when the potency of marijuana starts to rise that the danger of smoking it also rises, well their wrong! There is absolutely no way you could ever overdose from marijuana unless somehow you manage to consume like 3 times you body weight, which by the time you even got close to just half your body weight you probably would be passed out. With potency increased people tend to smoke a lot less now then if you had less potent weed. Regardless of how much you smoke, marijuana today has all the same side effects and "health issues" as back in the 1970's.  So don't worry if you smoke way too much of the potent stuff you, your not going to die or anything, you will probably just experience some minor lung irritation.

General Cannabis acquires Marijuana.com

Dec 8th 2011 - Being quietly sold for a incredible 4.2 million dollars with set details still to be released, the company General Cannabis which also owns weedmaps.com and various other domain names finally sucked onto the very lucrative and seemingly popular domain name of marijuana.com. Who would have thought the industry could produce such a staggering demand for content and domain names, but here we have it. At the end of the day one might think the term/name Marijuana in cyberspace would be worth something but at a price tag of 4.2 million dollars it is a true record breaking push for those who truly understand the market and business.

While receiving millions upon millions of page views per month, Marijuana.com along with it's rich diverse forums offer more on a business standpoint then just the current spectrum it offers. Clearly acquiring this particular name sets General cannabis at the forefront in the online Marijuana business now and also for future endeavors. Take note our current state of drug wars in various country's, this may sound like a bad business decision, but the drug war cannot continue and thus at one point will change. You might ask how this affects an online sale for a single domain name and forum, well it's not hard to grasp the possibility's of the millions of dollars this name might generate if or should I say when the collapse of the drug war will bring.

Jack Layton the real marijuana man

Sadly The new democrat  and house opposition leader passed away a short time ago after losing the battle for his life that he had been fighting for sometime. Before we go on with anything else we must say our thought's go out to his wonderful family wife, and children. You were only a man but a man that stood up for the many regardless of political propaganda and slander.

Mr. Jack Layton was a hero to the marijuana culture not just because he truly believed in complete legalization but also for standing up for Canadians right's. For all those who do not understand, Socialism beliefs can never be wrong almost brings up a famous line " one for all and all for one". Just like Ron Paul for the Americans, Layton was a true believer in free speech and the right for the public to have full knowledge of the inner workings of politicians backroom deals, scams and trying desperately to show the world..... it really is time for a change. Although you are no longer with us in life, your actions will live on.

I make a call for marijuana developers to dedicate and create a new strain called non other then Jack Layton where it's deemed legal of course.

The deciding factor of legal pot in ontario on July14th

In Canada upcoming to the heated election that occurred on May2 2011, many believed that the conservative government would not gain a majority in the house of commons but then ending result was they did achieve just that. This was a massive blow to marijuana reform because the now federal conservative government has the power to try and push their right wing crime bill aimed primarily at marijuana users and growers. This bill will add mandatory minimum sentences for people growing pot or even producing hashish with terms like 9 months for growing a single plant or 2 years for making hash at any quantity. On one side you had the NDP which basically thinks no one should face criminal prosecution for any marijuana related offenses and the other was the federal conservative government opting to absolutely destroy marijuana reform. Even though the conservatives had lost the popular vote then still hold a majority now based upon having more seats in parliament then the opposition and this now allows for another wack at their right winged agenda.

Is this the end of the possibility of pot becoming decriminalized? no it does not in fact there is a superior court decision in Ontario Canada that could bring and end to the feds plans. On April 14th of 2011 a superior court judge in Ontario took a swing at marijuana reform by squashing all marijuana laws in the region. This case originated from a person being arrested for having medical pot without a license which the government requires. Basically the defendant could not get a doctor to sign off on his form to then send in to be considered for the medical marijuana program that health Canada oversees when his illness is one of the many that allows for the possible use of medical marijuana  according to the current legislation.

The judge overseeing the case said the current laws surrounding the medical marijuana program are unconstitutional because many people which should be able to register cannot because doctors are afraid to sign off. It should be noted that although many doctors agree pot has medical benefits that could help their patents they simply are worried about ridicule from their peers and associations. This leads to the unconstitutional part because you now have some people gaining access to the program because they have a doctor in their municipality that signs off while others with the same illness cannot find a doctor to do the same.

Furthermore the judge stated that all marijuana laws in Ontario are unconstitutional because people who should have access because of an illness do not and the federal government cannot pick and choose which illness they think should be eligible. The superior court judge gave the federal government 90 days to reform the marijuana medical legislation and provide an appeal or on July 14th 2011 all pot will be legal and his ruling is binding. According to our sources the government has already appealed and even went as far as to say the judge made an error in law. I am simply amazed at the pure dysfunction the government displays to actually say the supreme court judge in Ontario made an error. He is the law and is sworn to uphold rights and freedoms and to serve the public not the federal government.

We will have to wait and see how this plays out for Canadians in the coming months but unless the governments lawyers can find some legal clause this ruling will come into effect.

Woman in Oklahoma gets 10 years in jail - Corrupt war on drugs

This is a sad day not only for Americans but the whole world. In what reality would a person with no prior drug related charges get 10 years in prison for two sales totaling 31 dollars of marijuana. That's what just happened in Oklahoma, USA back in December 2010 according to CBS news and the Oklahoman. Apparently an undercover officer on two occasions bought marijuana from Patricia Spottedcrow and her grandmother at their home in Oklahoma which led to the charges, but if that slap in the face was not enough she got another 2 years tacked on for having a tiny amount of marijuana in her jacket pocket when police picked her up to start serving her sentence. It has been reported the prosecution had offered her a deal but she turned it down believing she would fair better at the hands of the judge, wrong!. The judge threw the book at her handing down a 10 year sentence and an additional 2 years for the weed in her pocket. I think this judge should be incarcerated for these ridiculous unreal sentences, clearly this judge has their head in their books and lives in an alternate reality, I guess many presidents who admit to smoking pot should also be jailed? To the judge who handed this sentence " you are a failure of a human being sir"

Growing 5 marijuana plants is legal in the Netherlands

So you like to grow pot?  Well in the Netherlands they now have restrictions and new regulatory laws against growing cannabis for personal use. According to a few sources, residents in Holland can now only grow up to five marijuana plants with no restrictions on yields as long as they adhere to the five plant maximum. This was originally brought into light because residents are only allowed to have five grams of cannabis for personal use at any given time, but obviously in terms of growing would yield much more then that. This is another high court ruling that has a contradiction and unclear enforcement being because you can only have five grams of pot but have potentially 6,000 grams of pot if you are growing, can you see the backwards compatibility of these laws? Apparently although you are allowed to grow up to five plants if the police show up and demand the marijuana be turned over, you must comply to avoid criminal prosecution.

NDP party of Canada surges in the polls

As of April 27 2011 in some poll's conducted the NDP party of Canada has up to 31% support and Up to 94 seats in some projections. The party leader Jack Layton has worked hard and for many years to reach these levels and all we can say is well done Mr. Layton. The party are known supporters of legalizing marijuana in Canada and feel the drug war has gone on for too long where to many people have come under it's horrible hammer. Now finally a chance for the Canadian people to have an opposition that is for the Canadian people and not for themselves. Either way you look at this the conservatives and liberals have had way to many chances in Canada over the years and it's time for a change.

2011 Global Marijuana March

Are you ready to march for the legalization of marijuana? If so then you should be at the marijuana march this year. This is a one day event takes place on the first Saturday in May and has been doing so for the past 13 years now.  People all over the world participate in this global event, this year 236 cities from around the world have already signed up for the march.

Since 1999 millions of people all over the world have come together to march for the legalization of marijuana and still year after year our protests get ignored, but we cant stop now we will continue to fight for it, even if it takes another 10 years, one day our protests will be heard and one day we will get marijuana legalized we cant give up hope just yet. We should all thank Dana Beal and CannabisCulture.com for all their hard work they do year after year, to get this event going. They are the ones who created this one day event 13 years ago now.

Marc emery update - Still in jail

A long time ago Cannabis Kreations contributors reported about how Marc emery faced jail time for selling cannabis seeds to Americans across the border. Unfortunately The Canadian government did hand Mr Emery over to the American DEA Which lead Marc to take a plea deal which allowed him to only serve 5 years in a United States penitentiary instead of the  alternative which was to spend up to 30 years behind bars separated from his wife Jodi Emery and his family up in Canada. Again we feel to add that the crime of selling cannabis seeds in Canada would have only warranted a small fine and not jail time. Currently Marc Emery Has only served a portion of his time, but in Marc Emery style he remains cheerful and optimistic about his situation and one has to applaud him for his stance since in reality what can he do about it. Although Marc can do nothing about his current future in the justice system people like you and me can. People from around the world have united to help bring Marc Emery home and back into Canada and even if we could bring him home today it would not be soon enough. Marc is a very kind and genrious man donating to many charity's over the years and involved himself deeply with political field in his local province and the country in a whole and abroad. Some of Marc Emery's  biggest supporters are Tommy Chong, Barry cooper - From nevergetbusted.com, Members of Canadian parliament, The people at norml.org and of course us here at Cannabis Kreations. There is so many famous people and millions of supporters across the world we would not have enough room to include all their names but they all speak loud and clear that what happened to Marc was and is disgusting and should have never happened if the Canadian government had it's head on straight. Marc Emery and his lawyers are currently trying to get approval for a transfer back to Canada to serve out his sentence their but has yet to find out if his application will be approved. Even if it is approved then the next step is to face the approval from the Canadian government.

May 2 2011 canadian election

Yet again we find ourselves with another election hopefully this time in favor of marijuana lovers across Canada, but for this to happen of course Mr Stephen Harper needs to go. Not forgetting it was his government who sent pot activist Mr Mark Emery to the American  big-house approving the American DEA request for the Canadian government to hand him over to face prosecution in the states for selling cannabis seeds. A crime which in Canada would have only gotten Mark Emery a fine, but instead Mark is spending 5 years behind an American jail.

NOTE our own Canadian government sent people in Canada to buy seeds from Mark Emery. Yes health Canada sent medical marijuana users to Mark Emery to buy cannabis seeds.

Its a disturbing effect sending Canadian born citizens to the USA to face charges for which occurred in Canada. To our faithful American readers We love you it is not our intent to bash the DEA although must of you would do this on your own anyways, but merely to show the disgusting  ways of the Conservative government in Canada.
The conservatives  and Prime Minister have taken a page out of the American Justice system where he thinks marijuana is evil and everyone should be in jail and maybe that includes himself... he probably has nightmares of what a bad person he is for conning the Canadian people and thinks even he should be jailed "I support that part". This election will not fair to good for Mr Harper despite the poles as he is facing hundreds of thousands of pot activist this time around that need I mention the pot activist have been grinding weed up in MP government offices just because they can and this is no joke. In Canada a medical marijuana user can declare his visit to his or hers visit to there local MP office a protest and pull out there bag of weed and there is nothing the police can do. We used to be on a track to legalize marijuana in Canada maybe this time around we will be one step closer not 5 steps backwards. Also Mr Harper continues to push a house bill s10 that will send the government to the poor house since it equals sending about 30% of Canadians to jail. Canada is not America we simply don't have the money in the government coffers to pay for that kind of crackdown on mainly marijuana. This bill would see prison systems expanded which there has never been a need in Canada and will kill our economy.
Also note the reason this election has been called is because the opposition parties in Parliament held a NON CONFIDENCE VOTE which means every MP besides the Conservative MP's think the government is evil and want them out immediately. This May 2 2011 get out and vote just make your voice loud and clear... We want freedom not dictatorship

World rally to free Marc Emery

Free Marc Emery world rally took place Saturday may 22 2010 in over 80 countries around the world, With Jodie Emery leading the way with the fight to free her beloved husband Marc Emery. Cannabis culture members, activist and medical marijuana users earlier this month occupied MP James Moore's office starting off there and ending up in a world rally its vital that the governments of Canada and around the world take interest in public opinion, After all they are voted into office by the people.

Jodie Emery and Marc's followers continue to occupy government offices and protest therein, while little can be done legally because in Canada you are allowed to protest on public property and government offices are such properties. The officers of law can only stand by watch the protest take place while some of them have even show support for the cause off the recorded. The free Marc Emery world rally is a clear sign times are changing and not just in Canada but, Around the world (The United States) as well.

MP James Moore's office stormed

Cannabis culture reporter along with the B.C marijuana party members used the rule of law in there favor today, occupying Conservative MP James Moore's office demonstrating there right to protest on public property. While chanting Free Marc emery and rolling weed joints on James Moore's desk, they proudly displayed their Constitution rights that every Canadian has.
Almost immediately Moore's Secretary called for help and soon after the Vancouver police arrived, while on officer spotted a bag of weed and tried to confiscate it was informed by other officers it was medical marijuana and there for could not be confiscated. The crown's office was contacted by the Vancouver police and were told the activist's had a Right to protest inside the office of James Moore and not to arrest any of the protesters and since the owners of the weed all had medical marijuana licenses they legally rolled joints on every surface they could find.

The activist have scheduled another protest on Friday May 14 at 9:30am and invited supporters to head down to down to 307 West Hastings St, Vancouver to be part in another protest but as of yet they haven't released the location of the protest.

Whether you support legal weed or not this act clearly shows as a Canadian you have the right to stand up for what you believe in, and protest in a safe legal manner.

Marc emery goes to jail

this Monday morning may 10,was informed of Justice minister rob Nicholson's decision to extradite Mr emery to the united states. Such a decision by the Conservatives will surely not settle well with the Canadian population,as there is more to this then Marc emery as The sovereignty of Canada and Canadians has been pushed aside to appease the united states government.

With almost 15,000 signed petitions not to extradite Mr emery and members of Parliament supporting the cause, it's almost shocking of the decision that came forth from the Justice minister. Facts should be noted that the practise of selling marijuana seeds which contain no (THC) is a grey area in Canada and Marc emery has had a peaceful successful business in British Columbia, Canada for more then 10 years. Facing 5 years imprisonment to life, Marc and his wife remain upbeat now changing the focus of there fight to allow him to serve his sentence in Canada, and calling on his supporters to remain steadfast and not to give up hope.

Many people would not be against his jail sentence if only it was illegal for which the act he was charged in Canada, Imagine you had bee walking down the street unknown to you, a man from another country walks up to you cause's a disturbance, you retaliate and whined up in a foreign country faces assault charges for hitting the man on Canadian soil. This many seem outlandish but its relevant as Marc was charged with selling cannabis seeds to Americans while in Canada.
